The laboratory is recognised by SIT in regards to the certification of sample masses and weights and is recognized by Sinal for tests according to EN45501 in regards to scales and weighing systems.The calibration certificates issued by the SIT centre n°117 of CIBE which guarantees the traceability of the measurements to the international mass samples, as required by the ISO 9000 standard.The test reports issued by the Sinal centre n°0092 of CIBE guarantees the reliability of the measurements carried out on the instruments and their conformity to the reference norms.

The International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) is an intergovernmental treaty organization whose membership includes Member States, countries which participate actively in technical activities, and Corresponding Members, countries which join the OIML as observers. It was established in 1955 in order to promote the global harmonization of legal metrology procedures. Since that time, the OIML has developed a worldwide technical structure that provides its Members with metrological guidelines for the elaboration of national and regional requirements concerning the manufacture and use of measuring instruments for legal metrology applications.

WELMEC is the European Cooperation in Legal Metrology and was founded in Switzerland, when a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by representatives of 18 national legal metrology authorities in European Union and EFTA member states. The principal aim of WELMEC is to establish a harmonised and consistent approach to European legal metrology. WELMEC is concerned with the establishment, maintenance and improvement of channels of communication between its members and associate members and aims to develop mutual confidence through participation in common activities.
